Babu impersonates Corey so he can attend the surfing contest with Jeannie. Jeannie tries to find the exam paper, but Babu had made it vanish. However, Angie dumps Corey and works with S. She attempts to stop the partnership by stealing his math exam paper. Jeannie becomes increasingly jealous when Corey partners with Angie for a surfing contest. In this version, Corey replaces astronaut Major Tony Nelson. Jeannie is an animated spin-off of the live-action television sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, although it has a substantially different plot than its parent show. Melvin is portrayed as a "snobbish snoop", who frequently sneaks around the Anders' home due to his suspicions about Jeannie and Babu. Melvin Farthinggale), the Master of all Genies (Hadji), and Debbie. Other supporting characters include Corey's mom (Mrs. The pair become close "friends and protectors" to Corey, who is Jeannie's love interest.Įpisodes typically focus on Corey's attempts to hide Jeannie and Babu's true identities as he attends Center City High School and Jeannie's difficulties with adjusting to her new life in the 1970s.' Corey's storylines also include his friend Henry Glopp other than Corey, Henry is the only other person aware of Jeannie's identity as a genie. Playing the role of the comic relief, Babu is characterized as having a habit of "popping in at the most inopportune times". Portrayed as a 16-year-old, Jeannie is shown as training the "junior genie" Babu, who frequently causes trouble due to his inexperience with magic. Corey becomes the master to Jeannie and her apprentice Babu, who are treated as his slaves. In Jeannie, high school student Corey Anders discovers Jeannie's bottle while surfing and draws the title character out of it. The critical response to Jeannie was primarily negative. An episode can also be viewed at the UCLA Film & Television Archive and its theme song was released on a 2006 compilation album. Jeannie has been distributed via a CTV Television Network streaming service. The show was also included on the wheel series Fred Flintstone and Friends, and had crossovers with the Scooby-Doo franchise. Jeannie was shown as part of CBS's Saturday-morning cartoon programming block, and episodes aired between 19. Babu is voiced by Joe Besser, who had a successful voice-acting career at the time. In his first voice-acting job, Mark Hamill plays Corey, and also sings the theme music. Julie McWhirter replaces Barbara Eden in the lead role. None of the original I Dream of Jeannie actors reprised their roles, reportedly due to a lack of budget. The series was marketed towards a younger demographic than I Dream of Jeannie. Jeannie is accompanied by genie-in-training Babu, and they become companions to Corey. In this version, the title character is rescued by a high school student, Corey Anders. Despite being a spin-off of the television sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, Jeannie has little in common with its parent show. It was produced by Hanna-Barbera in association with Screen Gems, and its founders William Hanna and Joseph Barbera are the executive producers. Jeannie is an American animated television series that originally aired for a 16-episode season on CBS from September 8 to December 22, 1973.

While I would like it to smell like the first time I had it, I would buy again. If this was a woman I’d get her number lol. Overall: 9/10 smells good, looks incredible, a little on the heavy side but still down to earth. Not sure if that’s good or bad and I’m terrible at describing things as you can tell lol.īonus points: my 8th weighed 4 grams and with them being on the dry side. Not couch locky, more like a slow drop in blood sugar. Back hurts from work and this dulled that some also but definitely not a typical indica feeling. I’m an anxious individual so enough said on that end. I haven’t had weed that gives me the giggle in a while. I haven’t tried this in a vape yet and will report back when I’ve done so.Įffects: 9/10 this gave me the giggles. I’m not a fan of the inhale taste which is why it’s rated so low. Like when you sniff it and it goes to the back of your throat, just like that. This when inhaled it had a taste the way water smells (if that makes sense) but on the exhale, it had the taste of koolaid powder. I don’t usually smoke I mostly vape my buds. This stuff looks like some purple white widow. Visually, it’s a little dry and that’s the only reason it didn’t get a 10. Hues or purples with bits is of blue and just a hint of green all completely covered in trichs. Although it’s not diesel loud, it’s pretty solid. This smelled like the koolaid powder but it also has a cheesy smell and I get none of the typical weed smell until it’s smoked. With this one, I get a similar smell but not quite. I first had it pre-program, I remember a smell like a cup of grape koolaid. Smell: 9/10 This isn’t the first time I’ve had this although it’s the first time through the program. I haven’t touched the OC yet because I’m waiting to hear back from the G/P. I got Purple Punch and Orange Cookie both by gLeaf. According to data from IQVIA, there are over 200 health apps being added to app stores each day. The health sector has been cited as one of the top three fields to accelerate the growth of mobile devices. The mHealth sector is currently enjoying a fruitful period of activity and innovation. These services can be wide and varied, ranging from reference resources for doctors to medical hotlines for patients. The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) defines mobile health (usually shortened to “mHealth”) as “the delivery of healthcare services via mobile communication devices”. With Piktochart, you always get access to the premium infographics templates. mHealth has the potential to transform the overall healthcare system for the better by boosting efficiency, communication, costs, and quality of healthcare services. Piktochart helps you create High-quality infographics Whether you need to visualize a process, explain a topic, or tell a new hire what to expect on their first day, a good infographic can do the job. One key aspect of this is the growing use of mobile devices by medical and healthcare professionals. A text-heavy layout that lists out quarterly sales information in a series of bullet points is going to have a very different effect than a graphics-heavy layout that illustrates the changes in sales data from each quarter in charts and graphs. In this age of digital transformation, many sectors are being transformed by the use of new technologies and the healthcare sector is no exception to this. So, for example, let’s say you’re designing an infographic to highlight your company’s sales numbers for the year. By contrast, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), as widespread as the MMSE, has been highlighted as more sensitive than specific, and thus appropriate to detect even subtle cognitive changes when screening putatively healthy individuals. However, less consensus has been reached as to which test is most suitable to this aim : the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), despite being the most widespread cognitive screening test worldwide, has been questioned as to its feasibility in primary care, as being heavily subjected to ceiling effects and thus scarcely sensitive to sub-clinical deficits. There is an overall favor among European, and especially Italian, healthcare practitioners towards the relevance of screening for cognitive impairment in asymptomatic adults within primary care settings, due to its beneficial entailments in respect to a timely intervention. The MoCA might be therefore more useful than the MMSE as a test for general cognitive screening aims. The MoCA seems to be more sensitive than the MMSE in detecting age-related physiological decline of cognitive functioning across the healthy adult lifespan. By contrast, MMSE scores failed in capturing the expected age-related trajectory, reaching a plateau in the aforementioned age classes. The Age* Test interaction ( p < 0.001) indicates that the MoCA proved to profile a sufficiently linear involutional trend in cognition with advancing age and to be able to detect poorer cognitive performances in individuals aged ≥ 71 years. MMSE and MoCA total scores declined with age ( p < 0.001), with the MoCA proving to be “more difficult” than the MMSE ( p < 0.001). A generalized Negative Binomial mixed model was run to profile MMSE and MoCA scores across 8 different age classes (≤ 30 31–40 41–50 51–60 61–70 71–80 81–85 ≥ 86) net of education and sex. The MMSE and MoCA were administered to 407 Italian healthy native-speakers (165 males age range 20–93 years education range 4–25 years). This study compares the performance at the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) across the healthy adult lifespan in an Italian population sample. Aluminium also occurs in the minerals beryl, cryolite, garnet, spinel, and turquoise. įeldspars, the most common group of minerals in the Earth's crust, are aluminosilicates. Aluminium also occurs in seawater at a concentration of 2 μg/kg. But, the Earth's mantle is only 2.38% aluminium by mass. A lot of silicates in the Earth's crust contain aluminium. It is also the third most abundant of all elements in the Earth's crust. In the Earth's crust, aluminium is the most abundant metallic element by mass (8.23%). Overall, the Earth is about 1.59% aluminium by mass. The trace quantities of aluminium-26 that do exist are the most common gamma ray emitter in the interstellar gas. Essentially all aluminium now in existence is aluminium-27 aluminium-26 was there in the early Solar System but is now extinct. It is created after fusion of carbon in massive stars that will later become Type II supernovae: this fusion creates magnesium-26, which, when capturing free protons and neutrons becomes aluminium. It is the 18th most abundant nucleus in the Universe. The only stable isotope of aluminium is aluminium-27. It is the 3rd most abundant among the elements that have odd atomic numbers. It is the 12th most abundant of all elements. This is no longer true because, as technology improved, it became cheaper and easier to make pure metal. China produces about 31,873 thousand tonnes of aluminium.Īluminium was once considered a precious metal that was even more valuable than gold. The largest producer of aluminium is China. The aluminium oxide is electrolyzed to make aluminium and oxygen. Cryolite is normally produced artificially though. Then the aluminium oxide is dissolved in liquid cryolite, a rare mineral. The bauxite is crushed and reacted with sodium hydroxide. Pure aluminium is made from bauxite, a kind of rock that has aluminium oxide and many impurities. Uses include fireworks displays and rocket fuel. Because of this thin layer, the reactivity of aluminium is not seen. This layer protects the metal by preventing oxygen from reaching it. It is a highly reactive metal, although it is corrosion resistant.Ī fresh film of aluminium is a good reflector of visible light and an excellent reflector of medium and far infrared radiation.Īluminium prevents corrosion by forming a small, thin layer of aluminium oxide on its surface. It can be hammered into sheets ( malleable) or pulled out into wires ( ductile). For many years thereafter, Wöhler was credited as the person who discovered aluminium.Īluminium is a very good conductor of electricity and heat. In 1845, he was able to produce small pieces of the metal and described some physical properties of this metal. (The reason for this inconsistency was only discovered in 1921.) He conducted a similar experiment in the same year by mixing anhydrous aluminium chloride with potassium and produced a powder of aluminium. In 1827, German chemist Friedrich Wöhler repeated Ørsted's experiments but did not identify any aluminium. He presented his results and showed a sample of the new metal in 1825. He reacted anhydrous aluminium chloride with potassium amalgam, yielding a lump of metal looking similar to tin. The first successful attempt, finished in 1824 by Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted. People have tried to produce aluminium since 1760. The symbol for aluminium is Al, and its atomic number is 13. Aluminium (in American and Canadian English also: aluminum) is a chemical element. This uses a twisting ring design with changes in geometry and differing magnetic fields to control the plasma for longer periods of time compared to the short bursts tokamaks achieve. In the meantime, physicists in Germany are using a variant of the tokamak, known as the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator. It is currently being built in the south of France, but with the first fusion experiments scheduled for 2027 it will be some time before we know if that goal has been reached. The ITER is designed to produce 10 times as much energy as it takes to run, becoming the first ever net energy producing fusion reactor. Over 200 experimental tokamaks have been built worldwide, but to date they have all consumed more energy than they produce.Ī massive international tokamak project - the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) - aims to turn that situation around. The heat generated can be used to turn water into steam that spins turbines, producing electricity. Magnets confine the charged plasma to an extremely small area within the ring, maximising the chance that the superheated ions will fuse together and give off energy. These isotopes are heated to 100 million degrees Celsius by powerful electric currents within the ring.Īt these extreme temperatures electrons are ripped off their atoms, forming a charged plasma of hydrogen ions.Īn artist's impression of a cutaway view of the ITER tokamak fusion reactor in operation. Deuterium differs in that the nucleus also contains a neutron, and tritium has a proton and two neutrons in its nucleus. Normal hydrogen - which is also known as protium - consists of a single proton in its nucleus orbited by an electron. Tokamak reactors use a doughnut-shaped ring to house heavy and super-heavy isotopes of hydrogen, known as deuterium and tritium. Separate groups of scientists in Germany and China have recently announced they have made breakthroughs in nuclear fusion using tokamak reactors. Nuclear fusion happens readily in stars like the Sun, because their cores reach extreme temperatures of over 15 million degrees Celsius, and pressures billions of times greater than our atmospheric pressure on Earth.įusion reactors would need to recreate these extreme conditions on Earth, and researchers are using two different approaches to achieve this: tokamak reactors and laser fusion. But unlike fission, this radioactive waste is short-lived, quickly decaying to undetectable levels. It involves smashing hydrogen atoms together under extraordinary temperature and pressure, fusing them together to form helium atoms and releasing a large amount of energy and radioactive waste. Nuclear fusion is the reaction that powers the Sun. These existing plants all rely on nuclear fission - a chain reaction where uranium atoms are split to release extraordinary amounts of energy and, unfortunately, high levels of radioactive waste.īut a different type of nuclear reaction - nuclear fusion - has been the focus of research to develop nuclear power without the radioactive waste problem. More than 10 per cent of the world's electricity currently comes from nuclear power plants. But how close are we to having nuclear plants that fit the clean, green bill? What are the different technologies and what do they offer? Clean, cheap nuclear energy is often touted as a means to battle climate change. In part because armor is protective and letting a piece of equipment be both protective and offensive is not how the game work. In part because realism: armor is made to deflect blows and prevent a blade from biting into the skin, not to harm others by conducting bludgeoning force. And I'd argue against giving it for free. Gauntletīut know that just giving 1d3 for being in heavy armor is not RAW. It's kind of weird they are not part of the base game. They are weapons after all! And even at 1d4 they are worse daggers. I'd even say: makes them 1d4 to match daggers. I have no argument against brass knuckles. And if it's all you have, you are in an interesting situation. There is little reason to use this unless it's all you have. This is easier to get, but weaker than unarmed fighting style and less versatile than a level in monk. Short answer, no it likely won't break anything. So I would use 1d2 with plain gauntlets, and 1d3 with spiked ones. If I'd allow them on unarmed strikes, I would want them to deal more than the 1 damage a plain unarmed strike deals, and less than the 1d4 a dagger, a "weaponized" spiked gauntlet attack that needs class abilities, or a bigger improvised weapon deals. The improvised weapon rules require you to wield the weapon, and gauntlets are not objects you are wielding, you are wearing them. You also cannot use them as improvised weapons by the rules. The attack with spiked ones from the barbarian deals 1d4 damage (as a bonus action, making it a lot better). It takes special gauntlets with spikes and specific class features like a battlerager barbarian or an armorer artificer, or a magic item like demon armor to use them as weapons. An armor gauntlet does not.Īs you say, the rules also do not support using them as weapons. Brass knuckles have an interior bar you can grip, to redirect impact from your actual knuckles and finger bones to the palm, and they concentrate the impact to a narrow ridge. GauntletsĪrmor Gauntlets are not designed as weapons, like brass knuckles are. I would probably give them 1d3 damage, a weight of only 1 pound, and treat them as a martial weapon, so that only fighting classes will be proficient with them. Unfortunately, the DMG does not provide guidance on how to do that (other than reflavoring existing weapons, like for Wuxia campaigns, p. In this case, they are not listed on the weapon table, so you either could treat them as an improvised weapon, or you could homebrew their stats. Brass Knucklesīrass knuckles can be considered to be a weapon, like a knife. If they can smuggle in knucklebusters, they likely also can smuggle in a small dagger. Even using an improvised weapon like a smashed bottle or stool would deal more damage (although at the cost of losing your proficiency bonus to the attack). The majority of the damage will be from their ability bonus. The characters will have access to alternatives that hit better and deal more damage in practically any combat. In several years of playing, I have yet to observe an unarmed strike from someone who is not a monk, so whatever you decide here is extremely unlikely to affect game balance in any material way. Is there a balanced way to deal with this? If I ruled that gauntlets and knuckle-dusters increase the base unarmed strike damage to 1d3 (and still don't count as weapons), would that cause any unforeseen problems? I'm fairly sure I'm not missing any relevant core rules, so the question is: My instinct is to say no, since the book doesn't mention anything about gauntlets counting as a weapon and turning unarmed strikes into weapon attacks has some implications.īut that feels odd to me, since it seems obvious that wrapping metal around your fist should do more damage than the fist alone (monks aside, naturally, and ignoring any magic items). My initial thought was to treat this as a club, or maybe a slightly weaker club that deals only 1d3 damage.īut then I thought: Would I let the paladin do the same with her gauntlets? He's wearing full plate, after all. One of my players wants to buy a set of brass knuckles to keep on him as a low-profile weapon in case he can't bring his giant axe with him into a situation and feels the need to engage in fisticuffs. |
